Kaci Powers Bio

I can’t even begin to tell you how blessed I am to be at FWCS.  My family moved to Woodway in March of 2009 from Canyon, Texas and through many opened doors by God, I was able to become a part of the amazing staff at FWCS. For the last three years I have taught 5th Grade. 

I have been married to my best friend, Scotty, for thirteen years and together we are blessed by two wonderful kids. I can’t imagine my life without kids in it.  From an early age, I had a deep love for children.  I am truly more comfortable in a classroom of kids than in a room full of adults.  I’m probably just a “big kid” at heart and that is why I love being with them so much.  I started college knowing that teaching was what God had called me to do. 

I graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Minor in Reading.  I have 11 years teaching experience in both public and Christian schools.  When I am not at school, I love to be with my family.  We play games, swim, travel, ride bikes, listen to music, play outside, and enjoy all sporting events. 

I love my job!  I love the huge moments when a child says “OH, I get it!” or an “Aww, I never knew that!” I love being able to teach using God’s words in every subject!  I LOVE Woodway Christian School!
